Application Process Overview

Once you submit your application, here's what happens next:

  1. Application Review: Our admissions committee reviews your application and documents

  2. Admission test: All students will undergo a placement assessment prior to admission

  3. Family Interview: We may schedule a brief conversation to learn about your child and family

  4. Acceptance Decision: You'll receive our decision within 1-2 weeks

  5. Enrollment: If accepted, you'll be notified with next steps. Enrollment will be conditional until we receive full student records. 

  6. Welcome: Get ready for an amazing year at Ummah Center School! 

Placement Assessment

All new students are required to complete a placement assessment. This assessment includes evaluations in core academic subjects - English and mathematics - as well as an evaluation of Arabic language and Qur’an proficiency. In addition, students participate in an interview to evaluate social, emotional, and behavioral readiness. 

Student Evaluation

Our admissions team reviews:

  • Placement test results

  • Previous school records

  • Family interview

  • Teacher recommendations (if applicable)

  • Readiness for UCS’s academic and behavioral expectations

Admission decisions are based on a holistic review of the student’s profile and available space.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition: 

  • Pre-school: $6,000

  • Kindergarten to 8th grade: $9,000

  • You may be eligible to recieve EdChoice Scholarship award. Learn more.

Fees:

  • Enrollment application fee of $150 which does not go towards tuition

  • Technology, material and textbook fees of $350

Payment Schedule

  • Annually

  • Quarterly payments

  • Monthly Installments

  • Payments are due on the 20th day of the month August through May (depending on payment scheudle).

 

Payment Methods
UC School accepts the following methods of payment through Digital Academy:

  • Electronic check (There will be a $1 fee for each transaction).

  • Credit cards (There will be a 3% fee for each transaction).

 

Late Payment Fees
Timely payment of tuition is essential to our operations. Tuition is due on the 20th day of the month and delinquent on on the last day of the month. Late payments will be addressed as follows:

  • If tuition is delinquent, a late fee of $25 per student will be charged.

  • Parents will be notified in advance that their account is past due, requesting that they bring the account current to avoid the late payment penalty.

  • If tuition is 30 days delinquent, an additional late fee of $25 per student will be charged.

Parents will be notified in advance that their account is one month past due, requesting that they bring their account current to avoid any additional late payment penalty. Parents will also be notified that their children will not be permitted to attend classes after they are 60 days delinquent, until appropriate financial commitments are met.
