All-boys High School coming soon to Ummah Center
In partnership with Miftaah Institute
Open House At The Ummah Center
Sunday May, 17 at 1:45pm
We are pleased to announce that UC School - in partnership with Miftaah Institute - is launching a full time Islamic high school program for boys (Grades 9-12 opening together) designed to prepare students academically, spiritually, and practically for life after graduation.

This program combines self-paced academics, structured Islamic scholarship, mentorship, life skills, and athletics into one integrated daily experience.
A Different Kind of High School - Built on Four Core Pillars
1. Academics (Self-Paced & Skills-Based)
Students learn through computer-based, Ohio-aligned online academic tools, progressing by mastery of skills rather than seat time.
What this means for families:
-
Individualized pacing - advanced students move faster, others get more time
-
Remote subject-matter expert teachers available on demand
-
A dedicated in-class coach/Murabbi ensuring focus, structure, and support
-
Small, distraction-free learning environment
-
This model blends technology + human mentorship, not screens alone.

2. Quran, Islamic Studies & Arabic (Delivered by Miftaah)
Through our formal partnership with Miftaah Institute, students receive:
-
A structured Islamic studies curriculum designed by Miftaah Institute
-
Quran Hifz Program
-
Islamic educator and scholar leadership from Miftaah Institute
-
Daily tarbiyah and character development

3. Life Skills for the Real World
Students participate in hands-on programs that develop the skills needed for college and beyond:
-
Critical thinking & communication
-
Technology & coding
-
Entrepreneurship & leadership
-
Health, wellness & personal development
Our goal is confident, capable young men - not just good test takers.

4. Athletics & Physical Strength
Daily physical activity is built into the schedule to develop discipline, resilience, and teamwork.

The Role of the Murabee (Mentor/Coach)
A defining feature of this model is the full-day Murabbi presence. The Islamic studies teacher serves as:
-
Daily mentor and role model
-
Non-academic coach during study blocks
-
Structured Islamic instructor during the Islamic studies block
-
Support for behavior, focus, and emotional well-being
This ensures consistent tarbiyah, supervision, and personal connection throughout the day.
